If Jesus is Lord, we will live in holiness.

Ps Khong preached today at the volunteer service. (:
Like what the title has said, If Jesus is Lord, we will live in holiness. (:
To live in holiness, we will have to:
  1. Set your mind on things above. "Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things."-Colossians 3:1-2 (NIV)
  2. Put to death your earthly nature. "Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.[a] 7You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips." -Colossians 3:5-8 (NIV)
  3. Put on the new self.
During the volunteer service worship, what my violin teacher has said came up in my mind. "Feelings...It's not about finishing the song, but expressing the meaning of the song. Like playing slowly, or playing out the staccato." Then when I worship Jesus today, I realise that I'm just singing the lyrics out and like not feeling anything. So I just find that no matter how sweet your voice is, or how good you may sound at singing the song, it's equals to nothing when you have no emotions. Therefore, every time when I worship, I have to constantly remind myself to sing because I can feel it and not to sing to complete that song.
